A book containing a board game for older students (Year 5+) to practise phonic skills and basic spelling rules.
The game board is set on an illustrated map of Australia. A section of the board is shown:

Start at Sydney. Throw the die to move in any direction. If you land on a square, with a star pick up the top card and follow the instructions, e.g.:

Answers are on the back of each card.
If you land on a blank square pick up two consonant tiles and one of the 2&3 letter vowel sound tiles. (Tiles are provided.) Move forward one space for each word you can make that sounds like a real word.
The first person to visit each city or town and get back to Sydney wins.
